Halifax John Doe's remains are still at the Nova Scotia medical examiner's office, and he is one of two unidentified. When a body's identity is unknown, the medical examiner must help solve it. They have tried matching Halifax to missing person's cases with no luck.

Halifax Homicide is a tv series that had an episode about Halifax Doe. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13898894/?ref_=tt_ov_inf

Condition Of Body
Halifax's cause of death was hanging, and he had been deceased 5-10 days before discovery. The cause of death could have been suicide, as listed by the Doe Network.
Halifax was in decomposition at discovery, but his appearance is recognizable. The Doe Network, however, lists his remains as skeletal, which is false.
Halifax is a young male with a dark complexion aged 18-30. Though it is thought he was in his late twenties at the time of his death.https://www.services.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/missing-disparus/case-dossier.jsf?case=2014031015&id=4
His height is 5'10 - 5'11, and his weight is 161 pounds. Overall he had an athletic, medium build. Halifax's race is African and European; although this was not known initially, he was listed as African-Canadian. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/forensic-experts-sketch-out-dead-man-s-identity-1.594161
His hair is brown or black and is medium length with unbraided dreadlocks. Halifax has brown eyes. Other recognizable characteristics are that his nose was bent slightly to the left, both ears had piercing holes but no earrings, and he had a small beard or goatee.
Medical observations are that he had healthy teeth with an overbite. A left tibia fracture that had not healed correctly. *Halifax either removed his cast, or he had not gotten medical treatment.
Halifax also has many accessories and clothing with him. Halifax wore a multicolored dress shirt, grey Emilio sweater, blue Real Madrid European Football (soccer) jersey, blue Lee jeans, and new beige Timberland boots.
Nearby he also had a Dorcy flashlight and Mckinley backpack, and his clothes were neatly folded.
A pair of Italian-designed Dolce & Gabbana glasses were found near the body.
*Neatly packed. New hike boots. Well cared for self in terms of grooming but not medical. Prescription glasses are put away in their case. No wallet?
*It was said the glasses were not sold around in the area. No news source to back this claim, but that is an interesting possibility. Another indication of him not being a local is the jersey shirt he had with him. In a deleted Reddit comment, a user points out this could be a '04-05 third shirt or a home goalkeeper's shirt. Another user points out that McKinley backpacks are every day in Europe but not in America, but the Darcy flashlight is American and hard to get in Canada. https://www.reddit.com/r/UnresolvedMysteries/comments/dgahox/from_europe_to_canada_to_take_his_own_life_who/
